While the MacBook Air is Apple's 13.3 "this is one of the most portable laptops from Apple. It uses Intel's new Penryn processors, and is primarily designed for portability only. I have in my hands and I'll let you know what you're charged with and who will get the most out of this little book. Let me start with the basics.Hardware: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3MB shared L2 cache (Penryn) RAM: 2 GB (DDR2 SDRAM) Storage: 250GB hard drive Optical Drive: CD R / RW with integrated DVD + / - double layer DriveVideo Card: Integrated Intel X3100 graphics card (with 144MB of RAM video memory) As I mentioned this MacBook is designed to be portable and very compact. It is very light and comes to battery life by about 4 hours on one charge. I attribute this largely to the use of the Penryn processor. While it is not so hard that a large supply of battery life. It also remains fairly cool, so you will be able to drop down into sleep mode and keep it in your bag without worrying about this overheating. The MacBook screen is average. Works with a resolution of 1280 x 800 which is pretty standard for a laptop. If you use Apple "beyond" shows then you might be a little disappointed. The screen also tends to wash in direct sunlight a bit faster than I wanted. Apart from that it does well. I like the 2 GB of RAM especially since you have to share with the integrated video card.Connectivity: Bluetooth (to synchronize with other Bluetooth compatible) 1 FireWire (which is used to transfer video from your digital camcorder, for example) 2 USB 2.0 (These can be used to connect things like your printer, iPod or digital camera) 1 DVI (to connect some TVs or monitors) 1 VGA output (to connect to your standard monitor) 1 S-video output (you can use this to connect to some TV, but will be used for projectors for the most part) 1 composite video output (requires adapters, sold separately) that has a wide range of connectivity options like me composite video options. All products are on the left side that works well for users of the right hand mouse, not so great for left-handed mouse user (but not that anyway). I would also see an additional USB port.In the end this is a great choice for the mobile user. He will not run graphically intensive games or going to make any advanced 3D graphics. It would be great for the office or those looking to get a lot of mobile work done with the excellent battery life. But in the end unless you are a staunch Apple user I think for the money they turn to another manufacturer for offering this notebook.
